Health and Hygiene:
As we know that AIDS is caused by a virus called HIV, the Human Immunodeficiency Virus. If we get infected with HIV, our body will unable to fight the diseases . It will make "antibodies," which are special molecules that are supposed to fight HIV. When we get a blood test for HIV, the test looks for these antibodies. If we have them in our blood, it means that we have HIV infection. People who have the HIV antibodies are called "HIV-Positive." Many people are HIV-positive but don't get sick for many years. As HIV disease continues, it slowly wears down the immune system. Viruses, parasites, fungi and bacteria that usually don't cause any problems can make you very sick if your immune system is damaged.
Our organization has been providing speed to "Aids Awakening Campaign" from time to time, under which people are made aware about Aids, and its causes and effects. They are also informed about the various precautionary methods to prevent aids. Do not come into physical contact with any unknown person, and in any other adverse circumstances, always make sure to use condoms. Be loyal towards your life partner. Always be cautious while accepting donated blood from any other person. Do not use an injection which has already been used on someone else. Aids does not spread by coming in contact with a suffering person. There is no harm in eating with the patient, or making handshakes. Under this program, we also distribute condoms among the present people. Truck drivers and migrating people are also appealed to be aware in context of spreading of aids.
It is well known that not only the rural areas, but also the urban areas are under the bad influence of intoxication, and bad drinking habits. People in rural areas spend most of their income in drinking, because of which they not only damage their physical health, but also ruin their family life. Keeping all these reasons in mind, our organization is trying its level best in creating awareness among the local people through Intoxication Eradication Campaign. People are being made aware of the harmful effects and habits of drinking, as well as methods through which these practices can be stopped.
